This is typical to say, but I really don’t write reviews for anything I buy, even when I like the product. But here I am because this tree is that good.I have spent hours comparing cat trees and looking at reviews to get the best bang for my buck so I wouldn’t have to throw out another cat tree after some aspect of it started to degrade/disappoint. And ugh, they get so so dirty. It took me some time to convince myself that the price was right on top of everything else but I’m so glad I bought this. THIS TREE IS FANTASTIC.Honestly, it was easy to assemble (took about 10-15 min with one person helping me) and both of my cats started to climb on top before I was done. I’ve never seen them cling to a cat tree the way they cling to this. Anyway, we assembled and had to move the tree to the location we wanted and it took some time to get one of the cats detached from the top post because she wanted to live there (and now they both go to the top pretty often; they’re almost always up there or in the hammock or even playing in the basket). From a cleanliness perspective, I love that the hammocks and soft pieces detach from the tree and that I can lint roll in between and make things look like new. It’s perfect. No more fuzzy trees that look gross after 4 months ?.In terms of sturdiness, the base is pretty sturdy but will wobble the tree slightly when pushed. We’ve had to make sure our kids don’t try and climb this but it’s absolutely PURRFECT for the cats (yes, I did use a cat pun. Cheesy but worth). There’s essentially no easy way to knock this thing over so it’s good there. I love how it matches our sofa and other cat accessories and looks CLEAN. Very important.So.. in case I was a little too verbose, TLDR: buy this tree if you want happy cats and no more cat tree replacements. It’s sooooo worth. And yes, symptoms may include friends and family commenting on how spoiled the fur babies are. No skin off my bones. ? ? ? ✨I have 6 animals, 5 cats and a dog. One elderly (16+) cat and one 10 month old gsd/bull mastiff puppy. This cat castle is their reprieve from her and their favorite place in the apartment. For the cat castle itself it is extremely versatile for floor space accomodations, both small and large. We live in a tighter floor space, so it's configured as tightly packed as possible with consideration for our older cats mobility limitations. However, the cat castle is a transformer in the sense that it does almost anything. The top two pillars are interchangeable so you can swap which side the cave hammock is on. One of the hammock layers is rotateable so you can adjust how it sits/how accessible it is to climb to higher layers. The bottom platform itself is also adjustable, you can have it closer or further from the bottom cave entrance. I have it on the far insert for ease of access (and I think it looks better) but the choice is there if you truly are limited on floor space.Outside of the configuration and function of the castle itself, the materials themselves make this castle worth the money. The dangling balls are a decent elastic string, but notably they are fastened by a metal clip that can be used for replacement tassles. The hammocks and cushions are (almost, the hammock cave is permanently fixed to the wood piece) all removable/washable, the bottom cushions are strong Velcro that my dog only sometimes tears off and plays with, but even then there have been no holes, rips, or tears. The only damage done by her puppy self is pictured above, where she chewed the bottom platform a bit. Most notably, she barely put a dent into it.Stability wise, this cannot be beat. 5 cats and a puppy playing and this thing has never wobbled, shook, or moved. It has 4 individual feet on the bottom of the wood platform the towers attach to, so it's able to stay flat over uneven floor spaces and humps.Overall, cat castle gud, treat your pets and get them what they deserve.I ended up spray painting the unfinished wood pieces so it went more with my decor. Super easy to do, the wood is very sturdy (as is the rest of the tree). Love how thick the posts are. I have 2 big boys (13 lbs each) & they often will get on cat trees together. This one does not wobble/feel loose at all.I wasn’t even done assembling it & Wahoo & Gouda were already getting inside. My other two cats don’t get on it (yet), but all four enjoy scratching the lower post. Foot print is fairly small for size. I was looking for something that didn’t take up too much room, so my cats could get on the top bunk/loft with ease.Really love how Velcro is on the bottom side of beds/plush that secures it in place to tree. I have one cat that loves to throw up on the carpeted ones (total pain to clean). He hasn’t thrown up on this one yet, but the Velcro makes it easy to remove & wash. Seems well stitched & should hold up fine in the wash. Will update review if that isn’t the case.Once my crappy old carpeted cat tree in the other room finally has had enough, I’m definitely buying the larger/taller variety. Well worth the money. Looks great, satisfies my cats need to scratch, perch high, & rest.Definitely worth the purchase, this cat tree is outstanding in every way. The material, and craftsmen ship does show. The wood is sturdy along with the rope. It also makes cleaning super easy with the removal covers, I hate having cat hair all over the place especially when I have guest over; So being able to easily clean is a winner for me. Just look at our cats, truly happy.
