Great way to see if a hammock is for you. Price is good and allows you to see if you want to invest in a higher quality hammock in the future. I have used this 3 times on two day trips each and had no issues with it at all. I will say that if the temp drops down to low you will feel it on the underside and may need to either use a mylar blanket (like I did) or build a better overhead tarp/structure to trap the heat in. I went out with 6 guys and I was the only one with a hammock, I had my sleeping quarters set up within 30 min. and they were still messing around with tents and make shelters. I live in Texas so this will be great as I have netting to cover me from the killer insects in this area plus off the ground to keep away from the snakes! I am 250 lbs and the first time I set it up I did not pull it tight enough and it hyper extended my knees but the next time I set it up right and worked out great. Would suggest anyone in the market to test out a hammock to purchase this one and give it a try. Very light and great for backpacking as we did (8-10 mile round trip through the woods.UPDATE: Have used this around 15 times now and it is still in great shape and holding up well. My buddies have now all purchased hammocks for our outings. I have now given this 5 stars due to how well it is holding up and will buy another one for back up. Like mentioned earlier I am 250 lbs and this is no problem for this hammock. I move around a lot when sleeping and this is large enough to allow me to do it. Only thing to remember is in colder weather the under side allows cold air through, but this is with all hammocks of this nature. I just place a sleeping mat under me and it works great. This is so quality for the price. I'm a rookie hammocker and had a 4 day wk end to play with this. I love the outdoors, but can't tent camp due to a bad back. My back never hurt and got great sleep every night. Setting this up is a breeze. I liked how after I got in and got comfortable I could pull the extra material in and over to make a blanket over me. I did learn however, that the thin material that makes it light and tough, will still let mosquitoes get your backside. I gave a lot of blood that wk end! Bought a net from amazon and will figure it out. The pocket that it folds up into hangs conveniently by your waist for a phone, keys, beer..i m having fun with this for sure. There are more expensive ones out there for sure, but if you've never tried camping with a hammock, I would suggest this. It's tough, reasonable, see if it works for you.I really like this hammock. It's comfortable, compact and definitely a more affordable, yet comparable option to the popular ENO hammocks. My only complaint is the rope that come with the hammock. It has a LOT of stretch to it and is difficult to set up. I found myself having to tighten and retie the ropes as they stretched which was inconvenient. I ordered a set of sturdy hammock straps from another company to resolve this problem though. If you purchase this hammock, definitely purchase straps along with it because the rope that comes with it really doesn't cut it. Other than that, this hammock is great.I purchased this parachute hammock because of how many positive reviews it had. It works as it should, comes with ropes to ties your end up. I do wish the ropes were longer. I would recommend purchasing longer rope or straps if you wish to use this hammock for recreation, where trees or stands would not be conveniently close together.I have purchased a different parachute hammock before, and comparatively, this hammock is a much nicer size.I also haven't noticed any stretching with this material that I did noticed in my other hammock.Overall, I love how portable this hammock is. I could stuff it into a water bottle or the little bag that comes attached and be on my way.Easy peasy. This is a great product! If you're a first time hammock buyer and don't want to shell out the month right away for an eno, this is a very good alternative. The material of the hammock itself is sturdy. I've used it a number of times and don't see any signs of wear on it yet. The only drawback that I would say is the ropes that are included with these are not the best. I found they were rather thin. I ordered a set of Solitude tree straps and they have worked like a dream! My 9 & 11 year olds bought these with their birthday money and even paid extra for express shipping. They love them and spend a lot of time hanging in the trees. Color options are appealing and true to picture. Hammocks are easy to hang up with the included straps and are a good product for the money. I rated them a 4 because the fabric weakened (thinned) in a small area & we're no where near the weight limit. Not sure what happened, but no holes yet and still very usable. We would buy again.Love my new hammock. It is so much fun to be able to pull it out and relax anywhere my heart desires. I purchased this to be able to hike with my daughter (she has a much more expensive brand hammock, by the way). My daughter was impressed with the quality (the color is nice too!), and I didn't have the heart to tell her how much less mine cost than hers! Totally worth it, and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another!Broke could not even use
