"Oh wow" was what all 4 of us said as we sat down in the chair the first time. They are cushy soft on your bottom even tho there is no cushion. Love that they are just a tad bit lower to the ground for my short legs. They sit absolutely up straight if that is what you like which I do. These chairs will last us a very long time. There is a slight learning curve for opening and closing the chairs. They send you a very nice information page with pictures to see what they are talking. LOVE these chairs.
