This is a good, not great hammock. The things that keeps it from being great - the material isn't very soft, the color combo that I ordered were not very attractive, and the straight wooden bar might not be the best design when installing it on a smaller hammock stand. I think a curved bar might be better. It is still a pretty good hammock and I would recommend it for the price point. If you are looking for a great/excellent hammock, I think you will need to pay more.So far so good!To start with, this was the ONLY hammock I could find that fit my 10 ft stand - very happy about that. Quality is good and it looks really good too (I like the chain and hook it came with to hang). My only concern, and I am sure that's not this particular hammock, is the fabric. It seems to stretch easily and I am not sure how long it will last (I am 6'3" and weigh 220 lbs). Even though it's way within the weight capacity of the hammock, I am not sure if this is the best choice for big dudes. This hammock arrived and I have it stretched on pawley stand, replacing a traditional island cotton hammock. The fabric seems thin but it holds at least one person and is very comfortable. The cotton is really smooth and looks great in the backyard. The only thing I will say is that the wind has a tendency to flip this hammock and stand over together. I'm happy to try this out and see how many seasons this will last.I've purchased this Hammock 7/24/2013; 3 days ago (2/26/2016) the fabric just ripped completely across the spreader bar as well as the outer rope when a friend (160 pounds) sat in it and expectantly landed on his bottom.I'm not sure how long a hammock is supposed to last but hoped it would be longer than it did.I liked the colors a lot however the fabric itself faded too after a couple month in the South Carolina sun.Out of the box the hammock impressed me. I was a little nervous as it seemed to me the rope knots were too loose, in fact I had to re tie one. Once I installed it and put weight in it they tightened up and I felt better about it. I will update review after a few weeks use.Not exactly what I expected. I thought the cloth sat on top of the rope hammock. I also thought the cloth was thicker. I cannot comment on the durability yet, because I haven't had a chance to try it out yet, but it does fit my hammock stand, which initially concerned me.This is smaller than advertised and isn’t as relaxing to lie in than a rope hammock would be.Updated: after a few weeks there’s a nice hole and rip in the fabric. I’d not buy this again. Shameful. We purchased this hammock to replace a rope hammock. This hammock is so cheaply made we would caution anyone who is considering purchasing it. The material is very so thin and lightweight it offers no support at all. The first person who tried the hammock was a guest. To our horror when he attempted to sit in it he was flipped out of it onto the ground. This hammock is dangerous! We were going to return this item but our time expired due to Amazon's replacement policy but don't make the mistake we did, purchase a different hammock. The hammock itself is very nice. BUT the picture showed a stand with it. It didn't come with one and i don't remember anywhere in the description saying it didn't. I guess I should pay more attention next time instead of going by misleading pictures!Hate when the pictures show items that are not included. For Myself I don't like reading. If I see something I like, I buy it.I have yet to take it out of the package but it looks to be great. Disappointed when it showed up with no stand for the price I paid. The ad say nothing about a stand, very disappointedVery happy with the hammock,
